Ateneo

Ateneo restaurant is named after a civil association formed in 1909 to cultivate the arts and culture in Mexico. They took their name to emphasise the importance of the association's philosophy which they adopted as their own. Thus, Ateneo has become a space for art, culture and gastronomy in la Condesa.

This restaurant offers signature dishes and a laid-back ambience with state-of-the-art decoration. This is a popular meeting point where art, culture and gastronomy fuse together in perfect harmony.

Looking at the menu, you encounter exquisite illustrations by Mexican artists. Even though there are not many dishes to choose from, every starter and main dish is a heavenly experience. Some of the dishes include gazpacho, marinated chicken, pommes frites and carpaccio.  

As you stroll around the restaurant to admire the art exhibitions on the walls, sip on one of one of the  gorgeous cocktails they offer such as Lemon Mint, Mexican Cosmovision and all the good old classics.
