Cantina La Castellana
Mexicocity
Cantina La Castellana is a bustling bar/canteen situated in central Mexico City. It's been open since 1892 and is steeped in local history. It's been a meeting place for Mexico City's great thinkers for a century - including Renato Leduc, a regular at La Castellana, and more short term visitors, like Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.
If you want to snack on a selection of different dishes, Cantina La Castellana does a buffet lunch and dinner for a set price. This includes soup, roast meats, seafood, a selection of daily selected stews, and desserts.
The atmosphere is friendly and the food is great quality. There are high definition TVs and wireless Internet, rooms for private events and a terrace with a large screen. Valet and normal parking are both available. There is live music every night from Monday to Saturday.
