Directions to Papalote Museo del Niño
Papalote is a children's museum in Mexico's Miguel Hidalgo district. Papalote prides itself in being a green museum; 80% of the energy used in its premises comes from renewable energy sources. Continuing their commitment, they also teach the children who visit the museum about clean energy.
Papalote is now in its 20th year and continues to operate with the same principles with which they started. With the slogan 'Toco, juego y aprendo' (I play , play and learn) Papalote aims to educate children by the means of interactive tools and enthusiastic staff.
The museum venue is a blue tiled building designed by Ricardo Legorreta and is an addition to the landscape. The museum is surrounded by a lot of greenery which it utilises during its museum tours. Papalote is a great hit with kids, and adults too, Thursday even offers a designated period for just adults.
