Formally called "Miguel Hidalgo National Park", this park is located just 34 kms away from Mexico City. It is a natural reserve that comprises 1,760 hectares of woods, mountains and rivers. It is one of the most frequented green areas in Mexico City for its beauty!
This park sits on a mountain range covered by woods of pines. It has a rocky surface and many peaks, rivers, waterfalls and springs that still have potable water. Therefore, this park is a MUST for those who love alpinism, hiking, horse riding, fishing and all sorts of outdoors activities. There is a mountain called Tlaloc, where you can find Aztec monuments for the god of rain. There are also quad races, barbeque grills and many little restaurants where you can find delicious local food!
